Medical & Recreational Wholesale Clones

Before purchasing any clones, seeds, mothers, we always like to make sure we review a few important points to vet the clone grower and make sure we are off to a good start. Purchasing wholesale clones is a great way to increase income per square foot of your grow, and mitigating any risk should be a priority when doing so.

What to Look For When Purchasing Clones

  • Look for green leaves, not yellowing, gray, or spotted.
  • All the leaves are straight, and not twisted or bent-over, looking like an eagles claw.
  • The stalk should be light brown or green, not yellow, purple, or dark brown.
  • Review the plant for spots or dots, which could be mold or mildew.
  • Take a magnifying glass to review for bugs.

Growing & Buying Clones FAQ

Cloning a cannabis or hemp plant is simply cutting off a section of the plant and re-growing it as an additional plant. This is the process used when a grower has a strain they would like to replicate and the process of doing so is cloning the plant with this method. Doing this stabilizes the genetic makeup of the original plant (to a high degree, not always 100%) and allows a grower to grow more plants systematically.
At the moment (early 2017)most licensed grows can purchase the amount of clones required to fullfill their licensed quantity/ tier size. For the time being, all grows can source their cannabis clones from wherever (no questions asked in certain states, make sure yours allows this!!) in order to match industry demand. This rule will certainly not last forever and should be for example researched on the OLCC clone section before purchasing any clones in the USA. If you are not a commercial grow but a residential grow instead, you can source up to 4 plants at a time per person for the time being. This rule might also change soon but at the moment individuals are able to purchase up to 4 clones for recreational cannabis - in some states.
If commercially then yes, if for personal use no, the gray area begins when it comes to medical and recreational and what your purpose of growing is for - make sure you look into the rules and regulations for your state. If you are consuming the cannabis, you are able to grow up to the allowed amount of clones as needed or allowed at the current moment, for now medical can grow up to 8 personal plants, recreational can grow up to 4 plants for themselves. This might change very soon as the market is shifting.
Many states have a few wholesale clone growers in and around major metropolitan areas, we suggest checking your local listings but can also contact us (which is why we are here). The issue most of these clone growers are experiencing, is becoming licensed to accommodate the compliance end of the local cannabis market, and also matching the demand of the local wholesale clone market. View our selection of wholesale clone growers capable of helping you source your clones for commercial grow. Personal clones will most likely need to be sourced from a dispensary as this typically requires a license to purchase when not growing commercially.
Typically you want to know who you are purchasing your wholesale clones from. Often time you'll see the internet provides very little information about clones and who is offering the cloning service (something we are trying to fix) and if that person has a good reputation. The last thing you want to do is purchase bad clones, and since cloning can be a repetitive deal for your business - it makes sense to know who your are sourcing your clones from.
